Take a Walk

If you liked hit XBox indie game Braid, then you will probably love this arty musical adventure game from developers BlobBlob. Although is not as expansive a game as Braid (it is free and works in your browser, so what do you expect), Take a Walk features a similar time-control system to Braid. You can reverse time using the back arrow key, allowing you to undo any mistakes you have made.

But while Braid was all about time manipulation, for Take a Walk, the time-bending is less important than the music. To progress through the game, you will really need to get into the rhythm and beat of the sound tracl. Only by timing your jumps with the music will you be able to overcome all the obstacles that stand in your way and reach the end of a level.

Each level of the game features a different song, so while on some levels you can take things slowly and mellowly (because the music is slow and mellow) others might require you to act a little more quickly.

None of the levels will pose much of a challenge to your average gamer. But the point of the game is not really to complete it as soon as possible but more to be drawn in by the beautiful music, sublime drawing-style graphics and intriguing storyline.
